When we decided to start Good Mechanical, we were bringing two family owned businesses together under one roof where we are now able to provide a full range of plumbing, heating and cooling services. The basis for this decision, where The Good Plumber and Gotsch Heating & Cooling have joined forces to become Good Mechanical, is the confidence and trust that has grown between our companies through years of experience, often working side by side on projects. The companies share a common approach of an absolute commitment to hard work that provides the best possible plumbing, heating and cooling services, and a consistent focus on the best interests of our customer. Together, Good Mechanical Services brings our customers more than 40 years of experience serving plumbing, heating and cooling needs in the Northern Illinois area.

Scott Ritt
Founder
Scott began his career in plumbing with his uncle’s plumbing company and has 21 years of experience in the plumbing industry that includes a four-year apprenticeship. The apprenticeship helped him develop a thorough understanding of building codes, safety and, especially, the right way to do things. He has provided extensive commercial and residential plumbing services that includes new construction, remodeling and maintenance. In terms of plumbing repairs, he realizes the urgency when responding to an emergency plumbing repair call. A pipe that is leaking can cause extensive and costly damage. Even a clogged drain can cause serious headaches for customers. Whatever the problem, he has a proven reputation for responding promptly and with a sense of understanding. His experience also includes extensive experience in retail stores, schools, governmental buildings and restaurants.
